Location: Manhattan Beach, California
Specialty: Photoshop Colorist / Photographer
|I am currently enrolled at the Art Institute of California, Los Angeles. I am working for a major in Video Game Art and Design. I am also licensed under workhorse studios to have my images distributed to communications providers as backgrounds to cellphones (a reason why very few of my images have the "deviantMobile" selection).|
I made it a habit of mine to always have a camera on my person back in high school, mostly because I had a lot of weird friends who had this nasty habit of beating eachother up while on pogo sticks. Yeah, just a little something that only cameras can capture.
I decided to take up nature photography as a means of filling in time. I found that by taking so many pictures of friends, and learning the principles of layout and design at school, I found that my own pictures assumed a particular quality to them that I rarely see others achieve.
All of these images were touched up with Neat Image and Photoshop 7.0. I started out on DeviantART with a screen name separate from my usual, but after building up a fandom under my original name, I decided to go from digital artwork and upload actual photography.
To date, it has been my most successful medium of art. It has inspired others to take up photography on their own, and very early in my photography stint, I received a massive amount of recognition on the dA community, and on December 31, 2004, I achieved a Daily Deviation for one of my photographs from my Christmas session.
Ironically, that image was taken at a very low resolution, just getting my feet wet with photography, so unfortunately, a print of it isn't available. I didn't get my Prints account until several months afterward at great reccomendation by the dA admins.
The gallery is small, but I'm dedicating myself to uploading a new piece a week. So check back every now and then, and I promise, it'll get bigger.
