Please take a moment to this news article. Just press the 'Love It!' button on the left there. The more this article circulates, the more suggestions we'll get, meaning a better quality pool of possible themes! Though the best suggestion will win 650 dA points, I will bump it up to 1,000 dA points if this article gets 100 's in the first 24 hours that it's posted.
Also! RAFFLE!
For every 50 's this article receives, I will draw a random name from the pool of those who it (up to 300 's max). Each drawn name will win 100 dA points, so just by pushing that button, you have your chance at winning something!
Okay, fine. Fine. And a free llama to everyone else. There. Everybody's a winner just by looking at this. Now on to the REAL contest at hand!
We're five paragraphs in, and I finally get to announce...
The presents:
(AKA the "Pick A Theme For the November Lineart Contest" Mini-Contest.)
The color-me-club is just finishing up the end of its October Coloring Contest, and will soon be moving back to the lineart portion of the contest cycle. But we need to know...lineart of what?
Simply comment in this poll: --== color-me-club.deviantart.com/j… ==--
In the comment, state the theme. If you want, feel free to include a short (short!) description of why you think it's a great theme, and why it would generate lots and lots of contest entries.
After collecting user-submitted theme suggestions, the best three (or four or five) themes will be chosen and posted in a poll on the color-me-club to narrow down which one the users would like the most. The winning theme will be used for the November lineart contest.
In the highly likely event a winning theme is suggested by multiple people, the first person who suggested it will get chosen.
The prize for the best theme is 650 dA points (1,000 if this article gets 100 's in the first 24 hours of posting).
A good theme suggestion is one that a lot of people can utilize. In the past, we have used themes like love, wild, hair, fuzzy, heroic, medieval, masculine, and music. These are all themes that can be interpreted a number of ways, and can be done by artists of all sorts of disciplines and styles.
Bad suggestions would be restrictive, very specific ideas. 'Surrealsim' is a bad theme idea, as many artists would feel prohibited as they do not draw surrealist style. Fanart of your favorite TV show is a bad theme idea as most artists would not feel the motivation to draw fanart based on something they're not a fan of.
Remember to suggest themes you think many people would like to do; not just yourself.
Anyway, enough prattling about, let's get some suggestions down for the November lineart contest! What do you want to see made?
