While taking intermittent breaks in other projects, I spent some winding down time getting this one down. The main purpose of this image was to build up my painting speed, and to find a consistent compromise between quality and speed. I found that I wasted a lot of time in other details that nobody notices. While it's important to get the subtle stuff down, there are some parts that could actually be detrimental to the flow of an image with unnecessary and distracting features. I figured a plan for this image, and stuck to it, no additional features that fell outside of the plan.

Seems to work out allright.
