Oh, water.

Water, water, water.

It's by far the most schizophrenic of all textures to paint, and to this day still boggles me with how it looks and behaves. You think it's pretty simple. It's just like a mirror. Except you can see through it too. And it's flat and reflective, except for where it's churning and broken. And it's only blue when the sun is out, black at night, and when light traverses it, it does it in a cone of perpindicular lines UNLESS there aren't any ripples. You can see objects under it, except where there are surface distortions whereas the objects are pulled into disjointed shapes.

Basically what I'm getting at is you can't fudge around with water. It will always be that one thing I need a ton of references to do.

Bet you guys aren't even looking at the water. I SPENT HOURS ON THAT DARNIT, QUIT LOOKIN AT HER BOOBS AND CHECK OUT THAT WATER YA JERKS!

I apologize, I shouldn't yell at you. Been playing the Torque expansion for Borderlands 2, and I CAN'T GET HIS DULCET MUSINGS OUT OF MY FACESPLOSION!

Actually im staring at her face =0 drawn wonderfully, a great collaboration and yes, water, you do it very well though - the waterfalls look amazing and i love that you can see the legs underwater, you really did a great job, i lov e how you soften the lines and they are never too harsh and blend wonderfully with your colouring! one day i hope to colour as well as you do, b ut i got a long way to go before i even get close to your level of skill and understanding.

The best part:

After reading your rant about the water, I took a good solid look at it. And I realized that the second waterfall from the right looks extremely flat and unrealistic, and the distortion of the scene behind it doesn't look right.

Do you really want to redirect my attention to a worse part of your drawing? I could critique your boobs if you'd like, but I'll feel awkward about it all.
