I've always loved Rebecca Buck. She's not really a hero, and even to this day, I can't conclude if she's got any sort of benevolence in her character. Because in the Tank Girl universe, the name of the game isn't saving the day. It's purely about survival. And her heroic nature doesn't stem from selfless exhibitions of stalwart bravery, but from ostentatious methods of going above and beyond the basic call of overcoming adversity...usually with a dramatic boom she could hardly care less about.

That...and she "befriends" a kangaroo. Yeah, do THAT, DC Universe. We dare ya's.

She's also unique in her design, in the fact that she doesn't have a design. She's a character that embodies the "punk" fashion of superhero. She has very stand-out attires that express the torn jangly rags that identify the tattered punk genre. Yet in every issue, she undergoes countless wardrobe changes. So when it comes to making a fan art of Miss Buck, the artist's imagination is unhindered in terms of getting a "costume" just right. Because she doesn't have one. Just do whatever you want when you draw her, and as long as she's got that sly Tank Girl smile and some sort of weaponry requiring a suspension of disbelief of evangelical quantities.

Last week, I was messaged by *windriderx23 offering me a freebie of any 5 characters I wanted. Tank Girl was the first that came to my mind, and if I was sincere in my fandom, she would have been my remaining four choices as well. So a true fan, I am not. But a true believer in Jamie's ability to do Tank Girl justice? Faith...very well placed.

Amazing! TG has always been a favorite of mine. Makes me  hope for another, better movie with her in the future.
