Way too long on everything. It's been too long since I colored something that wasn't a pin-up styled girl. Been too long since I drew an actual background myself. Been too long since I colored something from the very club I tend to, the *color-me-club. This one also took way too long to get done, over a week, mostly because of my work schedule and the fact I've been sick and unable to concentrate. This one took way too long to get out the door in all matters possible, and from a professional standpoint, that's not a good thing. Both for keeping my drawing in top form (which it has suffered in my wavering hands the last week) and for my reputation as one aspiring to make this into some sort of living one day. But it's done, it's up to my standards, and after several days of hating how my fingers were tackling these lines, finally something I can be enough proud of to upload into the dA gallery comes out.

It was a long battle with illness, work, job, and personal obligation. But it also reminds me that the time I get to work on things like this is a gift, a blessing, and when a torturous time of getting lines colored finally comes to an end, I really appreciate once again those evenings when I can just vegetate and color with nothing looming overhead.
