Whew-whee, this one was a bit more difficult than I originally thought it would be. Lots of overlap, lots of lighting to keep in mind. The thing with fire is the way it is a very ambient light source, which fills an area with lots of light. There isn't much shadow around it, as the light from a fire can really bend around corners. Yet at the same time, the entire surface of fire is comprised of differing values of brightness, so the end result is a very complicated, varied lighting effect.
Coupling that with a chrome polished metal, curved mind you, resulted in this image really taking a lot of energy out of my mind and hands. Thank the gods there's a Mythbusters marathon on tonight, or I would've started finding lame excuses to stand up and move around just to waste time.
