Spent a little extra time on this one, refining my own hand on backgrounds and environments. I've done backlit sunsets/sunrises before, but it doesn't hurt to keep poking at it.
Oh-wow! She looks absolutely beautiful. Your coloring style works so well with Windrider's. The background is gorgeous and adds so much depth - the dusk-fadee city scape seems to pull it all together so gracefully - what a treat!
Thank you very much! Glad you like the city, because I'll admit, I didn't spend a whole lot of time on it actually lol. Didn't want it so detailed it detracted from the foreground. But knowing it compliments it well enough to 'ull it all together so gracefully' is encouraging to me; let's me know I should go in this direction more.
Hours of practice. Years of experience. And tossing it all aside to run a Google search for 'Cloud Brushes.' It's pretty lazy, actually, but seeing as I have about 8 left to be done this week...I can live with making shortcuts on the background.
Yep, and it's commission business. They're paying for a 3/4 character with color. Backgrounds are a bonus I throw in gratis, mostly because I want to develop that skill on my own. It's still more important to me that they like the way the character turned out, but it's nice to get a nod for the BG too.
I love it so much!
Thanks!
I've said it once I'll say it again. Red-heads = Insta-fave
and the background is amazing!!!! how'd u get the clouds like THAT???
its a good idea since its under pressure ^-^
