Here you go, a little bit of warmth to thaw (d'aww) out that cold wintry bite. Jesus Base Jumpin' Christ it's cold out!

The end result of Monday's stream, now approved and ready for spreading about. And yes, yes, yes, I know what you're all sayin', what's the deal with them now looking all like real ponies man. But that was where a lot of the fun of fanart comes from, when you can not only branch out and develop characters beyond what's presented in the show, but you can even throw out the style guide and do something entirely your own. And that's what ~cartoonlion did on this one. While I can't explicitly speak on her behalf regarding motivations and such, I will speak for myself in saying that a change in style is always welcome; particularly in a fandom that churns out lapping tsunamis of art regularly.

I saw this more of a classic imagining of contemporary characters, throwing a bit of the G4 cast into a more G1 style. You know, the original, the old school, the stuff life-long fans identify with.

At least that's how I see it.

It's also my two favorite characters in the same shot so that too.
